இன்று காந்தி பிறந்த நாள்.
தலைவர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரும் வரிசையாக காந்தி சிலைக்கு மாலையணிவிப்பதும் மலர் வளையம் வைப்பதுமாக தொலைக் காட்சிகளில் காட்டப் பட்டனர். சிலரைப் பார்க்கும்போது உள்ளூர சிரிப்பு வந்தது. இவர்களுக்கும் காந்திக்கும் என்ன தொடர்பு? காலத்தின் கோலம் இவர்களை இப்படி ஆக்கி வைத்திருக்கிறது.
நிச்சமாக காந்திஜி ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசிதான். அவருக்குப் பின்னால் வரப்போகும் தலைவர்களைப் பற்றி மக்களுக்கு அறிவுறுத்த எவ்வளவு எளிமையான வழியை குரங்கு பொம்மைகள் வழியாக நமக்கு சொல்லித்தந்திருக்கிறார். இன்றைய அரசியல்வாதிகள் எப்படி "நேர்த்தியாக" காந்தீய வழியைப் பின்பற்றிகின்றனர்? உண்மைகளைப் பேசுவதே இல்லை. எளியோருக்கு நடக்கும் கொடுமைகளை கண்டுகொள்வதே இல்லை. மக்கள் போடும் அவலக் கூச்சல்களை காதில் போட்டுக் கொள்வதே இல்லை.
இங்கு இரட்டைக் குவளை முடிந்தபாடில்லை. கீழவெண்மணிகள் ஓய்ந்தபாடில்லை.
அரசியல்வாதி என்ற ஜாதியில் எல்லாம் சர்வ சமம். இந்த ஜாதியில் தீண்டாமையில்லை. அரசியல் திருமணங்கள் ஜாதி பார்ப்பதில்லை. வேண்டியதெல்லாம் "ஓட்டு" என்ற சீதனம்தான். சீதனம் தகுமானதாக இருந்தால் ஜோடிப் பொருத்தம் தானாகவே அமைந்துவிடும்.
நல்லவேளை அக்டோபர் 2 காலண்டரில் இருக்கிறது. இல்லையென்றால் காந்தியின் நினைவுகள் எப்போதொ கரைந்து போயிருக்கும்.
காந்திக்கு போட்ட நாமம் வாழ்க!
